 Luckshy is the solo project of Thomas Whyard, a Canadian musician originally from Whitehorse, Yukon. Now based in British Columbia, with a few formative years spent in Calgary, Whyard brings a distinctly northern edge and introspective tone to his music.

His debut album, Crimson (released August 8, 2025), is the result of over a year of writing, recording, and refining. Anchored in metal, the record stretches confidently into alternative rock and grunge, blending weighty riffs with brooding atmosphere and emotionally raw vocals. Each track carries its own weight, but together they form a cohesive and cathartic statement.

Crimson is a deeply personal record—centered on themes of internal struggle, isolation, self-doubt, and how identity shifts under the gaze of the external world. There’s a vulnerability in the songwriting that contrasts with the heaviness of the sound, creating tension that’s both sonically compelling and emotionally resonant.

With Luckshy, Whyard carves out a space that’s aggressive yet honest, unafraid to lean into both the brutal and the beautiful. Crimson marks the beginning of a project rooted in truth, and driven by the desire to turn turmoil into something that resonates.
